The grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein (pronounced

Frederick finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors!

Audition Requirement:
First, Sign up for an audition slot through SignUpGenius which is attached to the
Facebook event page and on the Northern Colorado Performing Arts website under the
audition tab.
Second, find a song in the style of the show as well as the character you are auditioning
for. Once you find that song, find a karaoke track on YouTube and choose :30-:45
seconds of that song that best shows your abilities and you are comfortable with!

On the day of auditions, come 15-20 minutes early to fill out your audition form. Bring a
device that we can use to play your karaoke track through our speakers. Have your
track ready to start right away, meaning, do not have your phone on automatic lock (we
might ask you to sing again), and have your time stamps at the ready (when you hand
off your phone to the AD it should be ready to be played at where you have practiced!).
If you do not want to use your own device feel free to upload your YouTube link to your
sign up genius or send it to ljranz17@gmail.com with the subject being “[your name],
Young Frankenstein Audition” and having your time stamps clearly labeled, (example:
0:00 – 0:45).
Please bring in a printed resume and headshot.
For these auditions, we are looking for your ability to understand the material and reflect
it in your choices. We look for your work ethic to shine in your preparedness for
auditions and lastly, to see your strengths as a performer!

Callback Information:
Callbacks will be held Friday, August 16th at 5-9 pm at NoCoPA. The cast list will be
posted on NoCoPA Website under the tab Productions/Young Frankenstein no later
than Sunday the 18th.
For Callbacks, we will be holding both vocal and cold reads with a possible dance call
(stay tuned). We will post the songs with the callback list along with the sheet music so
that you can familiarize yourself with the material. It is encouraged to have a printed-out
or digital version of the songs (NOT a phone, IPad is okay!), you are NOT required to be
memorized. More information about callbacks will be posted with the callback list after
auditions (found on the NoCoPA website, under Productions/Young Frankenstein)!

Callbacks are an opportunity for you as an actor to show not only your background
knowledge of the show but your own interpretation. There will be times that we may ask
you to do something completely different than what is normally asked for the show. This
is not necessarily the direction that we want to see the show go in, but rather, see how
you, as an actor, take direction! To be as prepared as possible do your research and
don’t be afraid to make bold choices!
We look forward to seeing what everyone brings to the table!
