SPRING AWAKENING is a production that means a lot to me as a director, performer and artist. I am thrilled to be bringing it back to life at HAA for the third time. Logan and I have some new ideas and concepts we are excited to create with you all.

Unfortunately we were unable to cast everyone. Having to cut almost 20 people who auditioned is very hard for me, as I don’t usually like cutting anyone. For those of you who did not make it, I would strongly encourage you to audition for RATMAN in January or our big summer musical at the Lincoln Center, Sponge Bob the Musical, in May. Also this spring we are doing a production class of Legally Blonde for ages 16+. We would love to see you all again. We also will be looking for help with hair design, costume design and spotlights for this production, so if you are interested, please let me know: HAA@harringtonartsalliance.org.

Our production team has decided to double cast this show. With COVID numbers rising and the way our world is right now, we thought it would be smart to double cast.

Cast A and Cast B will each get two performances. When actors are not their named roles, they will be in the ensemble for those performances. We didn’t want to just do understudies or swings, where people put in a ton of work, but may not get the chance to perform.

We ask that you accept or decline your part by 8pm, December 19th by emailing: HAA@harringtonartsalliance.org. There are A LOT of people who did not make it into this show that would be glad to take your place if you decide to decline, so please let me know as soon as possible.

Our first cast meeting is Saturday, February 11th at 8am and we will get right to work rehearsing.

I know both Logan and I are anxious to get started working with you all on this beautiful piece. Have a great holiday season and we will see you in the New Year to begin our creative journey together.

-Your Director, Brittany
